Here we have gathered information about how to find the museums’ object images and guidlines on what you need to consider if you are going to distribute the images.

It is possible to search through all digitized images and objects in our online database. The database is shared among all seven museums within the agency of the National Historical Museums.
Image licens
Most collection images are licensed under the Creative Commons license CC BY, which means you are free to use them as long as you provide proper attribution.
Please attribute the source like this:
“Photo: Photographer’s Name, Museum’s Name/SHM (CC BY)”
If the image depicts a painting or a black and white photograph with expired copyright, you may use the information in the same way but replace CC BY with PDM (Public Domain Mark).
